In its resolution of November 1, 2005, the United Nations General Assembly declared January 27, the day of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp, as the date of Holocaust Remembrance Day in all member states. This special screening is part of a series of activities aimed at preserving memory and warning young people about the dangers of intolerance, racial hatred, and ignorance.
