In the Bélier family, everyone is deaf except sixteen-year-old Paula. As the only hearing member of the household, she serves as an indispensable interpreter for her parents, helping them navigate daily life and run the family farm. When her music teacher discovers her remarkable singing talent, he encourages her to audition for Radio France.
