synopsis

In the Bélier family, everyone is deaf except sixteen-year-old Paula. As the only hearing member of the household, she serves as an indispensable interpreter for her parents, helping them navigate daily life and run the family farm. When her music teacher discovers her remarkable singing talent, he encourages her to audition for Radio France. The opportunity forces Paula to make a life-changing decision, one that could mean leaving her family behind and taking her first steps into adulthood.

The screening will be followed by an informal discussion with members of the Integration and Special Needs Department, who will also be available to provide information and documentation about their language courses, including sign language classes.
